A Surprisingly charming, clean modern hotel at a great price.. Located on the west side of the railway station is a little bit off the tourist area's of Hoan Kiem. Also in an market alley so taxi access is difficult during the morning but in all other respects it ticks all the boxes and I can recommend it to anyone.
THe hotel is fine but access is a ittle bit more difficult in finding taxis and getting to Hoan Kiem area.

Location: the hotel was very close to a `` market place '', the Old Quarter which was very touristy and many cafes. Large and cheap units with separate beds, great furnishings, as example, and the staff were accommodating.

I loved the room- clean modern western. I got a delux room with a bathtub and a small balcony. Staff was pleasant and spoke English.
When the taxi pulled up "appaulled" or " shocked" was my reaction. The hotel was in a filthy alley way, very seedy and gross. I wouldn't stay there again due to this. We arranged a two day one night halong bay trip thru them, part of why we booked with them. It was awful! Do not believe the brochures! We left at 730 and picked up people for almost two hours before beginning the 5 hour drive there. We stopped at a tourist trap on the way. Arrived on boat about 130. Despite me making sure it had ac, our room didn't have hot water electricity or ac. Between 7pm-6am we had ac and electricity but no hot water. We saw one cave Booked.neted and went to a beach- each no more than 35 min each. We had to check out at 7am ( they made us) and we sat from 730-230 waiting for our return back. Awful.

Great staff, excellent value for money. This hotel is not located in the old quarter but it is still a great location because it is near other sites (literature temple, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, koto restaurant ...) and the area is calm and more authentic than the old quarter (and it's less than 2 usd to take a taxi to get there).
Services might be a bit fairly expensive (18 usd for airport pickup and 2 USD/kg for laundry).

Very value for money. I was really surprised to see so nice room. Room is not very big but it's ok for one person. Very good shower, all new furniture in the room, lcd tv, good WiFi. Staff was very helpfull.
Nothing, exept you have to be ready that location of the hotel in very local place. It's local market. So sometimes it's very dirty arround and noisy.
